Eiffel Tower and baby bottles?

Hands down my favorite city in the world. I'm usually not a city person, except for Paris. It's really the only big city in the world I could see myself living in.

We rented an AirBnb apartment in the city center, near the Bastille, and it was great to get a glimps of what it would be like to actually live there. Here's the view from our little balcony:
We did all the typical Parisian things. Our first night we went to the Eiffel Tower then up to Montemarte area to the restaurant Refuge des Fondus, a fondue experience.
--->Let me tell you: this was the weirdest restaurant experience of my life. We walked in and the over particular waiter sat us at one long table along with the rest of the people there. He made us stand on a chair and step over the table to sit on the other side, then obsessively arranged (and rearranged the table) with fondue pots of cheese, oil and platters of meat and bread. Then he handed us wine in baby bottles...we seemed to get over the oddness of our situation for a while then things got really weird. The oh-so-tiny restuarant filled up to the brim and the temperatures rose to an anxietyattackcausing, unbearable point. I had to crawl out from under the table to go outside and get some air, leaving soon after to escape. Don't get me wrong it was a fun experience, but one that I won't need to relive.

More on the rest of Paris soon :)

Au revoir!
